And so it begins. The blogging…of my incredible journey.
It’s not often that I have the opportunity to write a page dedicated entirely to me [[aside from my resume]] but I will do my best to enlighten you. So, without further ado, here is the best definition of Kelley that I can come up with at the moment:
First and foremost, I love Jesus! Which is precisely the reason I am sitting here writing this blog. While I have lived almost my entire life saying and believing this, it wasn’t until I came to college that I truly realized the extent to which this statement is true. The Lord has worked in my heart in more ways than I can describe these past four years, and if it weren’t for the people that he has purposefully placed along the way, I wouldn’t be who or where I am today.
I grew up in the small town of Buda, TX and am currently a senior at Texas A&M University where I will earn my Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology come this August! This school has taught me so much and means more to me than words could probably describe [[there is something extraordinary about the community and people at this University that is hard to explain until you experience it yourself]].
SO, while it has been quite a struggle to figure out what I want to do with my life after college, there have always been a few things that I know for certain; and when hopping on a path towards the future, I have always been told that the best motto is to follow your passion. For me, my passion revolves around the following facts: I love God, I love people, I love to laugh, I love to be creative, I LOVE sweets, I love kids, I love to be spontaneous, I love adventure [although some may disagree…I try okay], I love my family, I love to smile and I love to see others happy. And that’s when it clicked. What more perfect way to utilize these passions than go on a Mission trip to 11 different countries, where I will have the opportunity to love on people, share the good news of Jesus Christ and return with a changed heart and eyes that have been opened to things unseen? I could not be more excited about taking this leap of faith and stepping out of my comfort zone to experience a year of living with nothing but the things that matter most.
Some fun [ish] facts about me that I’ll leave you with:
