In order to leave on the World Race in July, I have to raise $16,267. That is $15,500 for the trip and $767 for trip insurance. Here’s how I will live for 11 months off of this amount of money.
Where exactly does the money go?
This includes food, lodging, and air, land & sea travel. It also covers administrative, setup, coaching, debrief, and training costs prior to and at the start of the Race.

Here it is broken down by category.
Training Camp– $310 (covers my cultural training before departure)
Field Support — $620 (helps us get supplies, local contacts, ect.)
WR Development Program — $1,860 (improvements, developments, and training in field)
Administration Fees — $2,635 (pays staff that sets up all the travel, missions, meals, ect.)
World Racer — $10,075
That means that 65% of my funds or $10,075 will cover all of my expenses while on the field. Here’s another break down for you.

Here is the break down by category.
Intercontinental Travel — $4,235.00
Food — $1,256.25
Lodging — $1,758.72
Transportation — $1,005.00
Long Distance Travel & Misc. Supplies — $1,115.55
This means that we can live on $3-$5 a day on the Race.
However, this does not include other expense such as:
*International Insurance — this is the other $767 I am raising.
*Personal Supplies needed for the WR (backpack, shampoo, ect.) I have most of these items.
So there it is, the break down of where your money goes – check out my next blog to see what your money does (because it’s a HUNDRED TIMES BIGGER THAN FEEDING AND TRANSPORTING ME).
