This goes without saying, but I am not perfect. I have many short comings. I don’t always feel like I can be a very good missionary because I swear too much, or I laugh at the wrong jokes, or I think most people lack common sense. I don’t always feel like I could spend my life reaching people if I act so similar to the world.
This is something I need to work on. It needs to be obvious that I am different from the world. This isn’t something in my appearance, I don’t need to have supper long hair and wear long skirts and Jesus t-shirts for people to know I’m a Christian.
It needs to obviously different in the way I act. I should not judge. I should love everyone around me – my enemies and those the world tells me I shouldn’t. I should be honest about my shortcomings. It is my actions and the way I choose to live that make me different from the world.
If I want to reach the world for Christ, I need to live life like Jesus did.
As I prepare myself for the World Race, I am also working on being a better example of Jesus. Because as a Christian I am not that same as the rest of the world. I am a child of God and I need to live my life in a manner that glorifies him and makes it obvious that I am a Christian.
