Nepal is an amazing country. Mount Everest sits in Nepal and anyone hiking to the top must come through and experience life with the indigenous culture. I will not be hiking Mount Everest, but I will be fully emersed in the culture and beauty of this country.
In Nepal, I will be serving “the least of these” I will be working with widows and orphans who desperately need to feel loved. I will be showing them love by taking the time to listen to them and spend time with them and to help them provide for there most basic needs. Here I will be working as Jesus did in a land that needs him.
I will also be helping keep people out of the hands of human traffickers. This country is prey to men who take orphans to use them as sex slaves. I will be working with these children and will be helping women learn skills they need to provide for themselves.
I am excited to go to Nepal and work with these people and to experience a culture and people group that is surrounded by God’s wonder, but still lack him in their lives.
