Welcome to my blog! Now you’re probably wondering what it is all about…let me explain.
This May I will be embarking on a 4 week race to Costa Rica to do mission work with a team of missionaries through the program World Race! God placed a strong desire on my heart to spend part of my summer serving others and spreading His love. I have done short term mission trips before that were for a duration of a week. Costa Rica this summer will be the longest experience I will have been on.
Originally, I was looking to study abroad for the summer in Costa Rica, but that desire shifted. My main reason for studying abroad in a Spanish speaking country was to practice my fluency. For years, I have studied Spanish (during my high school career and college). After seeking God and praying about what He wanted me to do this summer a new desire was placed on my heart to do mission work. Traveling to Costa Rica will be an opportunity to be a part of a work that is much greater than me – spreading the gospel.
For this trip I was accepted into the program close to the departure date. Therefore, my fundraising for this trip is shorter than I expected, but I am trusting and believing that God will bring forth individuals who have the willingness to sponsor me. I know that God will do a great work through me and the team I will be working alongside this summer!
