I AM IN NEPAL!!

Before I even begin to try to write this blog, let me begin by saying that I am absolutely in LOVE with the country of Nepal. I can guarantee that I will be back here one day.

We left Hyderabad and had two layovers on our way to Kathmandu, Nepal. Leaving India for me was really easy. Unfortunately I wasn’t the biggest fan of India, and I’m starting to believe that maybe it was because India was a hard country for me in a lot of different aspects.

Let me elaborate a little bit on that. In India, the Lord broke me… hard. He brought up so many things to me that I really needed to deal with in order to grow in intimacy with Him, and he flipped my world upside down. Also, in India, I struggled a LOT with spiritual warfare. The devil was attacking me a lot, and I struggled terribly with fear and sleep.

Journaling on the roof in India one day, I was writing, and before I knew it I had 3 full pages written of things that I have been suppressing that the Lord had revealed to me that I needed to deal with in order to enter into deeper intimacy with Him. As I mentioned in my last blog, I really need to let go of the baggage that I have been holding on to, so that I can fully give myself to the Lord, and really allow myself to do His work, and serve His people all over the world.

As we were leaving I was relieved because I felt like maybe I would be able to leave all of that behind me in India.

We landed in Kathmandu, and headed to Thamel for debrief. Debrief is a time for all of our squad to come together and have time to rest and literally debrief and process the month before. So it was really nice. We were able to really process all that went on in India. (This will bring us into a different blog post. I will elaborate, I promise.)

This month is all squad month. So our entire squad is doing ministry together. It has been SO good! I have been over the moon to be able to spend one-on-one time with people that I haven’t really been able to get to know on our squad yet, and just really unite as a squad and do ministry together!?

Here is kind of a small breakdown of what we have been doing for ministry this month:
We usually have ministry around 10am, and we go to our host’s home and start off our day with worship, and an hour of quiet time with the Lord. After that we do some sort of outreach. One day we painted pictures for women who work at dance bars and we prayed that the Lord would lead us to the right women to give it to. At least once a week we play soccer and ultimate frisbee with children in the slums which is so fun. I have been lovin’ me some ultimate frisbee games with the kiddos. Its fun because the same kids come back, and want to be on the same teams so its been so awesome to establish relationships with them. We also have been going to Hindu and Buddhist temples to pray over the people there as well.

Another day we did an ATL (Ask the Lord) day. So we partnered up and prayed for the Lord to lead us to someone or multiple people to share the gospel with. It was incredible. I prayed that the Lord would show me a picture of who my partner and I would come across, and He gave me a picture of a person (I couldn’t tell if it was man or woman) sitting under a tree at a bus stop. My partner got a picture of a person in a green shirt carrying a bag. We began walking, and a guy asked us if we wanted to take a taxi. This is a very common thing that happens, so we kind of brushed him off at first. But he kept following us and chatting with us. Finally he led us to a place to sit so we could talk longer. As I realized my surroundings, we were sitting under a tree, at a bus stop, chatting with a man in a pinstriped green shirt and he was carrying a messenger bag. I see what you did there, God! We were able to talk with him more about the Lord, and the freedom in knowing Jesus. We were also able to pray for him and got his contact information. My very close friend that I have met in Nepal is a pastor, and I gave him the man’s information and he will keep in contact with him for us. God is so cool!

Next Tuesday we leave to go trekking into the villages!! Our squad will be split up into two groups. Four of our teams will be in each group. It sounds like it’s going to be crazy, and we will be roughing it hard. But I’m SO excited about it!!

This month has been incredible.
I feel like I always say this, but I truly feel like I cannot put into words how big the Lord is moving in my life, and in the lives around me. God is so good.

I have a TON of blog ideas. So please keep an eye out.
My apologies for the delay in blogging. I have been struggling so much with putting everything into words. SO much is happening SO fast. It’s hard to keep up with it all.
But I love you guys. And I thank you for loving me so well, and encouraging me!
You guys are amazing.

Also….I went bungee jumping and canyon swinging and it was CRAZY!

A short preview of my upcoming blog:
The Lord has radically delivered me from the spiritual warfare I was facing. PTL (PRAISE THE LORD). Seriously. God is moving huge. I will talk about all of that in my next blog. The sequel to this blog. 🙂 I have been processing it with my team and squad and they are helping me to put it into words. So keep an eye out for that! Ah! SO GOOD.

Prayer requests:
-Please keep my entire squad in your prayers. We have others who are struggling like I did in India with spiritual warfare heavily.
-Please be praying for our travels into the villages, and also our hearts while we are in there. Village ministry in India was extremely difficult spiritually. So we are praying against that this month.
-Please be praying against sickness! We have had several people in the hospital with stomach bugs, and we have also had a lot of people struggling with sinus infections and strep.

I love you guys so much. Thank you beyond words for all of your support, love, and encouragement.

Peace and Love,
Keeley
