We have arrived in Eswatini and I am so happy to be here. For the first three days we went through a training in how to disciple kids through teaching them the game of soccer. This has become a movement in Africa over the past few years and is it an awesome thing that is being spread all throughout Africa. Many of the children here have grown up playing soccer and know the game of soccer so in order to share the gospel we must use the resources of what they know to apply it to teaching them about the Lord.
At the training sessions we were able to meet and make new friends who will be participating in this sports ministry. Everyday was filled with laughter, fun, soccer, but most importantly we learned from each other. We will begin our ministry with the children on Tuesday. I can’t wait to see how the Lord is shown through all of these kids and how they are going to be able to learn something new each day.
