Hey Ya’ll!
Before you ask, no I’m not from the south. I’m from northwest Pennsylvania. I grew up in a town that is full of blue collar workers, trucks, and plenty of potholes. Saegertown. Saegertown has one stop light and I’m proud to say I live on that very street that has this stop light. Saegertown is one of those little towns you use to drive through to get to the next town over which is about 15 minutes in any direction. Meadville, a second town connected to Saegertown is typically what I consider my second town even though I don’t actually live there. Fun fact, did you know the zipper was invented in Meadville Pennsylvania? Yup, the same zipper that keeps your fly closed and the contents of your backpack tucked safely inside.
Okay, enough about my hometown. You probably would like to know more about me personally. I grew up with my mom and dad and two younger brothers. I am the oldest sibling which I’m told contributes to my fierce independence. I have been to six different schools if you don’t count college. I’ve been put in school environments from public to Mennonite. Yes, I have been to an Amish school for six years. God certainly has used those different environments and experiences to shape me into who I am today.
My Favorite Things
- Driving and listening to music with friends, aka singing at the top of our lungs
- Watching snowflakes melt on the car window
- Mangos. I love to eat mangos.
- The movie Braveheart
- Seafood. I could live on only seafood and never complain
- People watching. This sounds creepy, but seriously just sit and watch people sometime. It’s fascinating.
