HAPPY DANCE TIME. CUE THE MUSIC.
Guys, over the past three months, the Lord has provided TEN PERCENT of my fundraising goal for the World Race.
A few thanks are in order.
If you have been praying for me and for this journey: THANK YOU.
If you are reading or are subscribed to these blogs: THANK YOU.
If you have donated financial support: THANK YOU.
If you are praying about being a financial partner: THANK YOU.
Jesus: THANK YOU.
The Lord has been so gracious over the past three months. He has already grown my heart in so many areas.
One of the harder lessons He’s taught me is that it’s okay to let people show up for me. For 22 years, I’ve been the girl who wants to show up for everyone, but has always been hesitant to accept help.
I am independent to a fault. In a lot of situations, I would literally rather sell my teeth than make someone else feel uncomfortable.
One of things I’m most fearful of in life is not being able to provide for myself. But the Lord is showing me that in reality, I was never intended to. He was.
He’s shown me that a big part of letting Him show up for me, is letting His people show up for me. I’ve found that when I fully rely on God, I’m also subjecting myself to rely on people. Which, just because of my life experiences, is so, so hard for me. But He’s already moving to adjust that in my heart.
So, if you are one of the people who has shown up for me, know that you are not only supporting a great missional opportunity, but you are also ministering to my heart and soul by being a vessel for the Lord’s strength, provision and grace.
I wanted to take this opportunity to share some more information with you guys about the fundraising aspect of the Race.
First, we work within fundraising deadlines which are as follows:
May 17: $5,000
July 18: $10,000
Sept. 30: $13,000
Nov. 30: $19,200 (FULLY FUNDED)
Here’s the sitch (Kim Possible anyone?), I have been praying about these deadlines and I feel like I need to share something with you. I’m very hesitant to share this because it feels crazy, but hey, our Jesus is a little crazy.
God doesn’t always move quickly, but He does move suddenly. And I believe that He wants to move suddenly through this fundraising.
Here’s what I think the Lord can do. I think He can put our fundraising at $5,000 by the end of December.
These are the goals He’s laid on my heart:
December 31: $5,000
March 30: $10,000
June 15: $15,000
August 1: $19,200 (FULLY FUNDED)
If you want to join me on this journey as a financial partner, you can donate at the top of this page by clicking the orange donate button. Or you can Venmo (@Kearstin-Cantrell) or CashApp ($KearstinCantrell) me if that’s easier.
Checks can also be sent to Adventures in Missions, the organization that runs the World Race, with my name in the memo line (And it’s tax deductible, yay!). They can be sent to P.O. Box 742570, Atlanta, GA 30374-2570.
I know the question, “Will you partner with me financially?” sounds heavy. I know that in the past when I’ve been asked to partner with with someone I’ve had this sinking thought that whatever I had to offer wasn’t enough.
So here’s a little anecdote to kill that lie in its tracks: Last week I received an anonymous $2 donation and I ran around my apartment dancing with the same joy that I have for every other donation the Lord has graced me with. Because it’s just that: A reminder of the Lord’s grace, provision, and love. Every cent is a blessing.
For right now, I’m doing a happy dance for all the Lord has already done. I hope you are too. But, I’m so excited to see what He has in store. Thank you for showing up for me. You are a vessel of the Lord’s strength, provision and grace.
