So, a little while ago my pastor preached an awesome message about global outreach and how all of us as children of God are called to do our part. All of this comes from Acts 1:8 which says, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all of Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." We are his witnesses and we are called to surrender our lives to him. Our job on this earth is to spread his word wherever we go. So how can we do this? Just like it says in Acts 1:8 the Holy spirit will give us the power and the courage to witness to others. In Luke 12:12 it says, "for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say." The Holy Spirit will give us the words to say. It starts out where you are in your Jerusalem. Then from there you can branch out and looks for opportunities to serve in your state or in other places in our country. Lastly, if you are given the opportunity to serve around the world you need to go. Do not let fear or anything else hinder you from what God is calling you to do for him. If you can not go right now then there are others things that you can do during this time. You can pray for missionaries, give your money to support those who are currently on the field, and you can give your time to some type of service. I am so thankful to be given the opportunity to serve the Lord and spread his name around the world. I'm sure it will not be an easy journey but it will be well worth it in the end. I am scared out of my mind but I know that God is going to take care of everything! I hope that this blog inspires you to do your part in global missions!
