I would like to take some time and let you know what has happened since my acceptance to the World Race. As many of you know I have sent out several support letters. They have been sent to family, friends, and local churches. I wanted to thank you for the prayer you have been offering up for me already. This past Monday I went and applied for my passport, so now I’m just waiting for it to come back. I have been selling candy bars as a way of raising money and have raised $60 so far in just less than a month of selling them! I’m also doing a PartyLight fundraiser right now, so if your home or office needs a new great smell let me know and I can give you more information about that fundraiser. There is going to be a golf outing, and an adult Prom (dance) in July and August for fundraisers as well. I will keep you updated on anything else that comes up in the fundraiser area.
One thing I personally have done is been praying Psalm 91 over myself, for safety during this journey that the Lord is taking me on. If you haven’t read this or haven’t in a while I encourage you too. It is an encouraging Psalm and really helps if fear is trying to overcome you.
Some prayer requests are:
- For the month of June to go smoothly as my sister is getting married on the 25th so every weekend in June is booked with wedding stuff.
- To meet my first financial deadline of $3,000 by June 18th which has been a bit hard since I am so booked in June I can’t do a big fundraiser this month.
- To prepare for training camp July 2-10, along with travel there figured out since I might be flying for the first time, and flying alone.
