Anna is a 20 year old girl who makes us every meal at our ministry. She has such a servant’s heart and cares for people so much. Anna has a friend named Victor who has medical problems. We are not sure how these problems arose but they are something new to him. In the lost in translation we understood that he either was in a car accident or overdosed on alcohol or drugs. Whatever caused the problem doesn’t really matter what really matters is Victor is a human being who God loves.

Anna came to three of us girls one day asking if in the afternoon we could go to Victor’s house to pray for him. She wanted us to bring a guy with us as well because we would be praying for a man. That afternoon 3 of us girls, one guy, and Anna started walking towards Victor’s house. While walking to Victor’s house we found out that a part of him was paralyzed, he couldn’t see, and couldn’t talk. When we arrived at his home his brother in law was there to take care of him. Victor lay in a bed and was unresponsive to Anna’s voice and touch. Anna asked us to start praying for him. As the four of us started praying Victor started to slowly move his hands.
After praying for about 5mins Anna asked us to sing worship songs to Victor. The four of us are not the ones who lead worship for our squad, nor do we know all the words to worship songs on the spot. However we were the ones that the Lord called to speak and sing over Victor that day, so we did the best we could and sang praise over Victor.

While we were singing Victor became more responsive and opened his eyes. His brother in law and Anna helped him to roll over and lay on his back. Victor started looking around the room and making noises like he was trying to talk. He started moving his legs and arms all around. This was a totally different person then who was in there when we entered the room.

When it was finally time to go Anna asked us all to say goodbye to Victor. We each took turns walking up to his bed, giving him words of encouragement and praying a blessing over him. When Anna went up to say her goodbye’s Victor waved goodbye to her. This was such a blessing to see, this confirmed that he did understand what we were saying and God was going to do big work in him. We also prayed for his brother in law who was taken care of him, and then headed home.

On our walk back to our ministry site Anna told us how much it meant to her that we prayed for his brother in law too. She told us that normally he wouldn’t have stayed in the room with Victor the whole time we were there. God is definitely doing big things in this time of Victor’s life, and in the lives that are around him.
