Never did I think that I would be moving to Georgia. While growing up my plan was never to live further than an hour from my family, well Georgia is 11 hours and 54mins away from my family, has to be God. If I ever moved down south I thought it would be to Tennessee not Georgia. Georgia always held a negative place in my heart it was the one state that stood between me and Florida on family vacations (not to mention it was such a long state) It was the place that I always heard how people hated driving through Atlanta, Georgia is where I would go and stay in a hotel for a weekend while my sister would compete in a national pageant. Lots of memories from Georgia and none were good, so why would God call me to move there.
I will tell you why because God is in the business of redeeming people and things in their lives. I was in Georgia for a week for searchlight and saw the beauty that was there. I met people who cared and showed the love of Christ to others. What else maters none of the negative thoughts or opinions I had formulated stood up to what the lord was showing me that week. In that week Jesus told me to do CGA in this next season and that is what I’m going to do.
Now you are probably wondering what CGA is… well it stands for Center for Global Action. It is a program made up of apprenticeship, discipleship, and community. While in Georgia I will get hands on experience with mission work from the office side of things. I will be living in a house with other women who are doing the same thing and learning from each other. During this time I will have the opportunity to see what the Lord has for me after this year in missions.
In this time I will be support raising $300 a month for a year to participate in the program. This is where I need you. If 15 people donate $20 a month I would be full supported and could put all my focus into what the Lord has for me in this season.
