On Wednesday we left the house at 3:30pm and traveled on a very cramped bus to one of the local villages.

By cramped I mean It was a regular size bus that you would think about in the states. However all the seats in this bus were full plus the aisle. I was blessed to be able to stand by the driver of the bus with six other of my close friends and pray to God the door of the bus didn’t fly open or that when the bus went around a curve we would fall into the driver or the steering wheel. This was by far our most cramped bus yet. This Bus was very hot and smelled wonderful!

After arriving in the village we were able to pray a blessing over the man we prayed for the past Wednesday and bless him with crutches. However the atmosphere was different in this village this time. The kids were all being mean to each other and not their joyful self like last time we had visited. After praying a blessing we walked to the next village with all the kids in tow. This week it felt like there was just a lot of chaos going on in the village.

While my other team members were playing with the kids that were about 20 to 30 of them now from both villages, I went with two other members of the team and our pastor to a house to visit a family. In this house lived 4 families, 2 puppies, and lots of chickens. As one of the men of the household was doing laundry we were able to talk with his mother. She was holding her 6week old grandbaby. We prayed a blessing and unity of their family. This family has been through a lot of division and you could feel the tension and negativity in the relationships.

After leaving the local village we walked to a nearby house of three elderly women who wanted prayer for healing in their bodies and spiritually.  These three women were the greatest ever we prayed for them and then they offered us grapes from their yard, and other food and drinks. As we were eating and spending time with the ladies, one of the ladies kept rubbing her hands around my face in an affectionate sort of way. It reminded me a lot of going to my great grandma Trina’s house. These women were such a blessing to us, and you could feel their love for each other.

Once leaving the village we started walking at 8pm back to our house which is about a 20min bus ride. The pastor told us the walk would take an hour and 20mins to walk. By this time it was pitch dark out but we remembered our head lamps this week! Here we are again on this busy road with cars flying towards walking down the side of it. Finally after walking for 20mins we reached a bus stop where the pastor decided we could pray for a ride of any kind to come pick us up. After praying that we could get a ride the rest of the way a bus pulls up that is EMPTY!! (Remember how we arrived at the village, this is complete blessing in itself!) Our pastor asks if he the driver would be willing to take us to our house. The driver informs the pastor that he was finished with his route for the night but would take us to where we needed to go. THANK YOU JESUS!! We start walking on the bus and everyone is in their own seat and it’s pretty much a party bus with lights and music. Thank you Jesus!

Village days have become my favorite days! This is just what one day looked like in the village.
