Hey friends, family, and supporters. I have been thinking and I wanted to address a few things that you may be thinking.

Blogs

First thing is first. I realize that many of my blogs have been about my internal growth, and maybe haven’t been the most informative of what we are doing in ministry from month to month. That is not because we are not doing ministry, but the Lord has been teaching me a lot personally on the race and the blog has been kind of a processing journal for me. It had also just been a way for me to be vulnerable. I also don’t want to apologize for sharing them, because knowing who you are as Jesus says who you are is important for being able to call others into who God says they are. I will apologize for not updating you on ministry as well as I should have.

Vlogs

Second thing second. Know that there is a lot of passion behind this next topic and what I’m about to say is pretty direct and straight forward. My intent is not to attack but to defend. Ive heard comedians and others look at the World Race as just a touring trip and that it doesn’t even count as a missions trip. I also realize that many World Race related videos that you all see look like us and the team and squad just having fun. I wanted to address this if you have had concerns or wonderings. I promise you 5 days of the week we are doing ministry and adventure days are not that frequent. We are passionate about our community we are living with. After all, we are still doing “normal” life, we’re just miles away from home. So we still rest, eat, and adventure along with ministry.

Many times in ministry we are not allowed to photograph the people we are doing ministry with. Not only that, but even if we had the opportunity many of us are not trying to put people on display as a zoo. I’m quite proud of those on the World Race because they are convicted about not shoving cameras into people’s faces. I’m also proud because they are truly concerned with and for the people we are ministering to. When we’re in the states we don’t take pictures of all the people we share the gospel with. Why should across the seas be any different? Every person should be treated with dignity and rspect, and if someone is convicted that their photos or videos of a person would potentially diminish that then I support them in not posting that.

A day in the life

Third thing third. I’m trying to encourage Jezie in vlogging, so help me encourage her in that. Her and Katie have both been desiring to do “A Day in the Life” videos showing you a timeline of a normal day for racers.
