Hello and welcome to my blog!
My name is Kaylin Starbuck
My God
I love and serve a God who is an all consuming fire, who is a mighty rushing wind, and who loves what He has created, especially us… who He has created in His very image. Because of his perfect life, his death, and resurrection I have now died to sin, am resurrected to life with him, and am redeemed. I am called daughter and friend by the almighty.
My Immediate Family
Family is very important to me, and they have been such an influence and support in my walk with the Lord. My parents are Chad and Marjorie Starbuck, and my little brother is Jacob.
My Church Family
I have another family that I must mention: my church family. Imago Dei Church has been my home church since I moved to the Raleigh, NC area. I am so thankful for this body of believers and I have no clue where I would be without them, especially without my growth group.
My Friend Family
Another part of my family that I am compelled to mention are my dear friends. There are some that are new, some who have been there for a long time, and some that have seen me at my best and my worst. I thank God for my brothers and sisters in Christ who have mirrored different characteristics of our Lord in loving me well.
What I am studying/doing
I am currently studying at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary for my Masters of Divinity in Biblical Counseling with supplemental studies in Worship Leadership. I also currently work at a Bistro as a Barista. I will be taking off a year from seminary to do the World Race and then upon re-entry, I will be returning to SEBTS to finish my studies.
What I am doing after
Naturally in response to my status on school, people ask what I am hoping to do after. My response is, what I know is that I have a calling to use my voice for the Lord, a gift for counseling, and a passion for the nations. However, I would love to use counseling to minister to ministry leaders and/or missionaries.
For fun
As far as hobbies and what I delight in, I love hiking, kayaking, adventures, alpaca, and sloths.
