DAH NAH NAH NAHHHH NAH NAH NAH NAH NAHHHHHH NAH NAH NAH NAH NAHHHHHH

1,112!! That’s it people!!! THAT IS ALL I HAVE LEFT TO FUNDRAISE!! AHH SO EXCITING! I have HUGE faith that we can reach that goal by my deadline of December 29th.

Fundraising has been one of the biggest learning experiences I’ve had so far on the race. It’s taught me how to rely on the Lord more than ever and to truly trust that since he sent me here he’ll provide whatever I need.

With that, I have a super amazing, fun story to share with you all. A couple weeks ago I got a call from my squad mentor Kate (shoutout she’s awesome!). But I was very curious to see what the call was about because Kate doesn’t normally make personal calls to people on the field (she normally emails) so I was slightly scared.(; But despite my doubt and wonder of what it could be about she excitedly announced to me thaaat:

“World Race Alumni put their minds and their wallets together over the last year to create a Scholarship fund for current racers struggling to meet their financial deadline.  As alumni, they know the value of being able to stay the duration of the race.  They also know the highs and lows of fundraising and sometimes, in spite of every effort, the money just doesn’t come in.

Over the last year, alumni donated almost $9,000 to help World Race and World Race Gap Year participants STAY ON THE FIELD.”

Kate was able to submit applications for several people struggling to meet the upcoming financial deadline and while they weren’t able to award every request they did award me with TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS!!! WHAT!!!??! CAN WE ALL JUST FREAK OUT AND PARTY REAL QUICK AND DANCE AND JUMP AND SCREAM FOR JOY BECAUSE THAT’S AMAZING!!!

Alright, now everyone calm down again and take your seats. $1,112 is what we have left after that INCREDIBLE blessing from God. I truly, truly believe God will work through each in every donation given to me. Remember that every donation is tax deductible and since it issss the giving season this would be a great, appreciative place to give!

I seriously have no words to explain the gratitude that fills my heart each and every day from the sweet messages of encouragement people send or comment on my blogs. This has been one of the most humbling experience to see God’s provision through fundraising. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to every single one of you that has helped me get here.

Love you all dearly,

Kaylin
