Dear Family and Friends,

I am SO excited to tell you about the next exciting chapter in my life! After graduating from high school this June, I will be embarking on a journey of a lifetime. Instead of the traditional route of going straight to college after high school, I will be deferring my enrollment to participate in a 9 month mission trip known as the World Race: Gap Year. This program is part of Adventures in Missions (AIM), an interdenominational mission’s organization that has sent over 100,000 people into the mission field since 1989.

This past summer, I went on a two week trip to Puerto Rico with AIM that was absolutely life changing. I made lasting friendships with both my teammates and the locals, discovered a love for the elderly at a Veteran’s home, used a machete to chop down waist-high grass, had epic quiet time on the beautiful Puerto Rican shore, went on prayer walks in the town center, helped carry out a summer camp for youth, and so much more. All of that was just in 10 short days! I am forever grateful for the experience. This trip further confirmed my call to missions: the deep desire I have in my heart to love and serve people worldwide.

I will be leaving in September 2017 to travel to Thailand, Cambodia, Honduras, Guatemala, and Ethiopia. While in these countries, my team and I will partner with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and so much more.

Throughout the World Race, I will face many challenges. As I prepare to depart, one of my biggest obstacles is fundraising. I need to raise $14,951 for this trip which includes the costs of training, travel, lodging, food, and all other necessities while abroad. I am writing to ask you to consider partnering with me in two ways. First, I am asking you to partner with me in prayer. Pray for my team and me as we prepare to take a leap of faith out of our comfort zones. Second, please prayerfully consider supporting me financially.

You can sponsor me with a one-time gift, or sign up to give monthly on my blog by clicking the “support me” tab. If you would wish to send in your contribution as a check, please let me know and I will get you the information necessary to do so. Any dollar amount would be such a blessing! Thank you so much in advance for your love and support.

God Bless,

Kayli Harshbarger
