Seven Muslim men were asked if they wanted to live a life with Jesus. They all said yes; that was the hope that they had been searching for and they knew there was more to this life.

This is the story of these men:

We were walking through the port and came upon a couple of guys. We asked if we could talk with them for a little bit and they happily agreed. They quickly made the area underneath their truck open for us and welcomed us into their home, clearing off their chairs and bringing jugs that were holding water for us to sit on.

We sat down with them and began to ask them questions. How were they? How long they had been there? How was their family? How was their health? As we continued to ask questions, men began to walk over and join us. What started as a couple of men quickly turned into seven.

We then asked them if they followed any religion and what they believed. They told us they were Muslim and weren’t sure if they would go to Heaven or not.

At that point, we asked if we could share with them a little about what we believe. They agreed and we dove right in.

We started from the beginning with the first sacrifice that was made:?God created Adam and Eve and placed them in the Garden of Eden. They were told that they could eat any tree full of good fruit except one and if they were to eat of that tree, they would die. Satan took the form of a serpent and approached Eve and tempted her saying “For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil”. Eve decided to eat the fruit and offered some to Adam as well. When they ate the fruit, their eyes were opened, they became naked, and they were full of shame. God still loved them though and decided to make a way to forgive their sin. The first sacrifice was made. An animal was killed. The skin was used to clothe them and cover their nakedness. The shedding of blood covered their sin.

He also promised Satan that a Saviour would come and be the ultimate sacrifice. This Saviour would crush the power of Satan.

As time went on, blood sacrifices continued to be made. But God had a plan to end them all. He sent the perfect sacrifice, his son Jesus, to be born of a virgin. As He grew older, He performed miracles and healed people. He turned two fish and five loaves of bread into enough to feed five thousand people. He raised Lazerus from the dead and made the blind see.

The time came when He traveled to Jerusalem and paid for mans sin. Jesus surrendered himself and was crucified. He hung on a cross for all and let His blood cover our sins. Jesus is the ultimate sacrifice. He died for our sins and as His blood poured out, He said “It is finished”. Three days later He was resurrected and came back to Earth. He shared with those around Him the meaning of this ultimate sacrifice and that if anyone accepts His sacrifice and follows Him their sins are forgiven.

Seven muslim men sat before us listening intently as we wrapped up sharing Christ’s love with them. Some had never heard this before and some had only heard bits and pieces. They were in awe that this gift was free and they could have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

They were asked if they wanted to live a life with Jesus. They all said yes; that was the hope that they had been searching for and they knew there was more to this life.

We prayed with them and encouraged them with scripture. We walked away with a peace knowing that the Lord’s presence was made known in that place and that He is now in control of their lives.
