You give life. You are love. You bring light to the darkness. You give hope. You restore every heart that is broken. Great are you Lord. It’s your breath in our lungs so we pour out our praise, we pour out our praise. It’s your breath in our lungs so we pour out our praise, to you only you.
Cuerva hugged us, smiling so big that she couldn’t stop, joy overflowing out of her, walking in freedom, praising the Father, and walked away pain free down the small trail that lay before her.
Back up an hour earlier as this same lady approached us with sad eyes and pain overtaking her body. She was dizzy, could barely hear, pain filled her head, she couldn’t see, and her soul was downcast.
We began talking with her, knowing that this was not a mere coincidence but a divine appointment from the Lord. We had been placed along her path for a reason.
We started to share with her why we were in the middle of no where in the mountains in response to her initial question, “Why are you here and are you lost?”
At first we just felt the need to be with her and listen. She talked with us for a little while and then we knew prayer was what needed to happen next.
We began praying out loud. Tears rolling down my cheeks because the presence of the Lord was so strong. We prayed boldly for this lady to be healed, not only physically but spiritually as well. What good is physical healing if the heart isn’t changed? We cried out to the Father praying that she would know that this was nothing that we were doing and it was not of our own strength but everything that was happening was from the Father. We prayed that her heart would be open to receive what the Lord wanted to offer.
We finished praying and asked her how she felt. She said better but not completely healed. We sought the Lord again in prayer. We did this several times and continued to seek Him until an overwhelming peace came over both Nathan and myself.
At this point we were able to share the gospel with Cuerva and how much love the Father has for her. We were able to tell her that she is chosen, a daughter of the most high King, cherished, treasured, worthy in His eyes, and that she is more than enough.
After sharing with her what we thought the Lord was asking us to share, we asked her how she felt physically. She smiled and said she had been healed. She felt completely normal and had no more pain. She was a different person not only physically but spiritually as well.
Cuerva hugged us, smiling so big that she couldn’t stop, joy overflowing out of her, walking in freedom, praising the Father, and walked away pain free down the small trail that lay before her.
