Training camp could be described as:

Great. Fun. Exciting. Hot. Gross. Nasty. Moving. Hard. Spirit filled. Challenging. New. Uncomfortable. Weird. Long. Intentional. Exhausting. Crazy. Informative. Wild. Deep. Open. Vulnerable. Loud. Dirty. Growing. Warm. Insane. Chaotic. Different. Beautiful. Redeeming. Renewing. Good.

I could go on and on but I will just leave it at honestly training camp was a combination of all the things and it was so good! One of the best parts was getting to meet the 47 racers that I will be leading for 9 months and they are incredible!

Here is a quick look into what training camp looked like.

Let me introduce my new squad to you, Gap U! I get to journey alongside these beautiful people for the next 9 months and bring some Kingdom!

Tent life and living super close. We slept in our tents most nights unless we had a camp change which happened a few times which looked like airport scenarios, losing luggage, and community tents.

Each day the racers had multiple sessions they went through and I got to participate with them. We went through sessions on how to connect with the Lord through nature, scripture, other people, art, and sitting alone. We had session on fundraising, cultural norms, feedback, evangelizing tools, healthy communication, how to lead a women’s breakout for ministry and how to hear the voice of the Lord.

We had breakout sessions to pray over our squads, pray over our countries, and pray over this next season.

You can’t go to camp without a little fun. One of the most intense games of Farkle Ball went down with this squad. That’s where I learned I am about to lead a highly energized, encouraging, passionate, competitive group of humans.

We ended training camp with baptisms. What a beautiful night with people saying yes to Jesus and surrendering everything to Him.

These are my people and I am beyond excited to be going onto the field with them!

I will be leaving in August to head back to Georgia for a final few weeks of training and then we will head to our first country in September! Comment below if you have any questions and I would love to answer them!
