Love is real. Love is raw. Love is unconditional. Love is kind. Love is offered freely from the Father. Love is bigger than we are. Love can’t be bought. Love was paid for at a high price. Love cares. Love is patient. Love came in the form of one man dying on a cross.

We got to share that love and here is how the Lord led us to one person who desperately needed to hear.

We started walking down the street, not knowing exactly where we were going. We began to seek the Lord and stopped on the street to ask the Lord who we needed to talk with and where He wanted us to be. ?

I had a vision of a little boy wearing a green shirt and heard the words keep going. Ali saw the colors green and blue. Not knowing exactly where we were headed we followed the Lord and continued praying as we walked asking the Lord to take us where He wanted us to be.

We ran into the dentist from the church and began a conversation with him. He wanted to know what we were doing and what our plans were. We told him we don’t know exactly where we are going but we are walking around this afternoon sharing the gospel with people. He said alright have a good time and see you later.

We proceeded to walk another five minutes down the street. Once we reached the end, I heard the Lord say turn around, go back. I wrestled with Him for a moment asking why, we just came form there. I thought maybe this was just me and asked for any voice that wasn’t of the Lord to be cleared from my mind. Once again I heard the Lord say go back from where you came from.

I turned to Ali and told her I believe the Lord wants us to go back. So we did and within one minute I saw the little boy with the green shirt from my vision. Not only that but he was wearing blue shorts just like the color Ali had seen. At this point we knew the Lord was confirming we were on the right path.

Not two minutes later we ran into the dentist again, smiling, and so excited to see us. He came up to us and said I have someone I need you to talk with and answer some questions for. Without hesitation we knew this is where the Lord was calling us and followed him to his office.

We got there and met his assistant. The conversation started with deep theological questions. Why do good people live in poverty? Questions about Biblical discussions that I wasn’t even sure where to begin with my answer? She wanted to know about why we were supposed to serve the Lord and how that should be done?

She had so many questions. I was attempting to translate but not doing a very good job. In the middle of the questions, Ali said I believe we should ask her about her relationship with her parents.

I asked and she began to open up. She told us that her dad left when she was three and that she rarely sees him. At this moment there was a total change, we knew why we had been brought to this place. Ali began to share her testimony of how she never truly understood our Heavenly Father’s love due to the lack of love from her Earthly father. Tears began to roll down her face and you could see this touched a sore spot within her heart.

Ali continued to share her testimony and about how the Lord changed her perspective of what love from a Father can look like. I prayed for words and ease of translation. I prayed for His words and not my own. Words began to flow out of my mouth like never before. We were exactly where we were supposed to be. We were sent to encourage her and show her what love could look like. We just had to be in tune with the Spirit and willing to take a step of faith.

It turned out all we needed to share was how much love the Lord had for her and that it is an unconditional love and not like anything she had ever experienced before. The word love is tossed around today but it carries so much weight and is so powerful. Sometimes we forget the depth that love should have. We got to explore the true love that the Father provides. She experienced the love of the Father like never before and is walking in His love now.
