Here is a small glimpse of what life in Eastern Europe has looked like over the past two months. Life up close and personal, from the wow moments to the raw truth of living in other countries.
-Language barrier. Not knowing Serbian or Romanian. Hand gestures for days….
-A sense of normalcy in a way
-Seeing my parents for the first time in eight months
-Seeds getting planted throughout the streets of Montenegro
-Praying with a lady who had never been prayed for before
-Brokenness all around you and that void being filled with comforts the world has to offer
-Making friends with a local book shop owner and giving her a Bible for the first time
-Getting fruits/veggies and not having to bleach it or wash them
-People believing in Orthodox and not knowing what true Christianity and having a relationship with Jesus means
-Handing out eye glasses to those who couldn’t see and then giving them a Bible
-Missing the train stop and seeing three of my team mates on the other side of the train with their eyes wide and mouths open. Riding to the next station for forty minutes and then going back the other way to meet up with them.
-Drinking from the faucet and being so thankful that I could do that again
-Passing out 1,000 Bibles to the Romanian community
-Spiritual warfare in a completely different way
Life looks different on the Race but I wouldn’t trade these past two months for anything! The Lord is so good and has provided exactly what we needed at the right time and we have seen Him at work in so many different ways, it has been amazing.
