Three months later and I am thriving!
I have walked/ran six miles.
I walked across the border of Thailand and Cambodia with all of my gear on for over 2 hours.
I have gone to ministry every day after the first week of taking it easy.
I have repelled down a waterfall.
I have sat on the floor normally and shared the Gospel.
I have stood for over two hours teaching English classes.
I have lived life normally.
Lets back up a little bit. For those of you that don’t know, I was hit by a car three months ago.
Not just a love tap, a hit that resulted in a shattered windshield.
Here is a recap of what happened if you don’t know:
One of my team mates and I were on our way to ministry, walking to catch a taxi and crossing through an intersection. We began to walk. We crossed the car in the first lane of traffic. We crossed the bus in the second lane. As soon as we crossed the bus, I looked to my right and saw a car coming at 30-40 m.p.h.
I don’t really remember thinking a ton.
Next thing I knew I was down…literally down on the ground.
The car tried to break and tires were screeching. I had no thoughts except I am about to get hit. It hit me on my right side. I hit the hood of the car and proceeded to hit the windshield with my head, shattering the glass. Then I was flung into the street.
I came to and walked over to the sidewalk. Shoes still on, purse still around me, the only thing out of place were my glasses that were sitting in the intersection. A nice man picked them up for me, no scratches and still wearable.
My body had no scratches, I wasn’t bleeding, and no bones were visibly broken.
I walked away from this with a concussion and a bruised tailbone.
Since then, I have been praying into what the Lord wants me to learn from this whole experience.
He told me that He wanted me to grow in dependance on Him and to truly trust Him. Well He got my attention that’s for sure.
I was praying one day and the Lord showed me a vision. He took me back to the day everything happened in Romania when I got hit. I was surrounded by angels and Jesus was walking between me and the car.
He took the hit before I did and He was with me the entire time. Angels were everywhere, surrounding me. It was incredible and just made me realize how blessed I truly am.
The Lord is so good and I am beyond thankful.
He hasn’t left me and is literally walking beside me.
