I ask you to send me out into the wilderness,
To a place few have ventured
to become a woman with a heart wild for God.

A little bit of humor:
Last summer in Nicaragua, in a time where water was scarce and even our buckets were empty, it had been a couple of days since I had been able to wash my hair (it starts to dread). I was approached one day in the center by a local friend.  He told me jokingly that if I went a little bit longer… I could be a wild safari woman.

At the time, I just laughed, but thinking back now, I have realized that this is truly what I desire to be. Wild.  No, I don't mean physically (this will happen after a couple of days without water no matter what), but in my mind and heart.

I pray to be wild
To live at ease without the comforts of home
But instead be totally content in relying on the Lord.
To not fear being dirty, because there is joy in the Earth He has created.
To not be afraid to venture out into the unknown
For it is here that we can grow stronger in Him
To love others equally with generous hearts
For in the wild, there are no borders,
There are no greater parts
