I am a senior in high school!! Being a senior You get tons of questions like “Where do you want to go to school?” “What do you want to major in?” These questions are always a topic. I got a call on Tuesday December 27th saying that I had been accepted into the World Race Gap Year Route Five!! Now when I get asked these questions I LOVE answering them and telling people all about the year that is ahead of me!
With that being said let me tell you about the year to come for me!
One night I was reading through my bible and came across the verse Mark 16:15.
“He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”
After reading that verse, with thoughts in my mind about doing a gap year already, I prayed lots about it and I knew this had to be God’s plan for Me. I emailed my church asking for suggestions and The World Race was definitely one that I knew I had to sign up for! I applied immediately! When I got the call saying I had been accepted I got tears! I mean how cool that I will be overseas for NINE MONTHS traveling to five countries and helping lead people into a growing Relationship with God! I’m beyond pumped for this experience!
While I am gone, I will be traveling to 5 different, amazing countries. I will be traveling to the Philippines, Haiti, South Africa, Botswana and the Dominican Republic. I will be doing SOOOO much while I’m gone and working in these countries. I will be working with kids (If you know me you probably know I’m so excited for this part!), helping people that are living in poverty, working with women or kids that were involved in sex trafficking and much more. The crazy exciting part is that I Will be teaching and learning so much about God!
