Hey friends and family,
Its been a while since I posted my last blog and I’m super sorry about that but I have lots to fill y’all in on.
So I’m in the Philippines and have been here for about 2 months and have a month left to go. I’m staying at a ministry site called Kids International Ministry. Its amazing!! The main focus is kids and helping the community. They do feedings, have a childrens home, schools, and a free pregnancy clinic. I’m here with my sister team and its been amazing.
I’ve seen the Lord in so many ways here. Its extremely refreshing. My main focus since we’ve been here has been babysitting. One of the first feedings we went to Rhona told us about Marissa the woman with ovarian cancer. After lots of help fundraising we met the goal, and went over, for her. She is able to have her surgery!! Every day Cat and I will babysit three of the seven of her children. We normally pick them up from one of the feeding sites called “tent city” on Monday and they stay at KIM during the day and with Rhona at night time. We drop them back off at home on Thursdays when we go back to tent city so they can visit with their dad and friends. John Rex is 7, Edmar 5, and Mary Ellen 2 so thats kinda what my ministry has looked liked for the most part. We baby sit from 9-5. I’ve really, really loved the Philippines and all I’ve gotten to be a part of. As my race comes to an end I ask you pray for an easy transition and guidance!!
