“take a moment to remember who God is, and who I am…“
let it sink in. who is God? who is He really? oh yeah, the one who is abounding in mercy and love, who ransoms and redeems, and calls His people Beloved. He saves, He carries us out of slavery into miraculous privision in the desert places. He protects, provides, loves, forgives, leads, empowers, instructs and dwells within. He has promised ABUNDANCE. do not be discouraged or afraid, children of Joshua. you will inherit your promised land because of your faith based on a LOVE of a God who you seek with your whole heart.
so wait and seek.
praise Him in the circling desert. bask in His very presence, the cloud that shades you by day and the fire that warms you by night. bless your feet, for they will not grow weary, neither will your shoes or clothes wear out… He will overabundantly provide your daily bread, and you will drink the sweetest of waters in the driest of lands. you will wander, but not all who wander are lost- you are simply seeking what cannot be found without an opportunity to wander. HOPE. DO NOT FORGET HIS LOVE and DO NOT FORGET HIS PROMISE. it is your faith and trust to never falter that will lead you into the presence of The Lord. how much sweeter is His close presence and provision in the desert than the blessings of His gifts in the promised land…
“i’m going to start all over again. i’m taking her back to the wilderness where we had our first date, and i’ll court her. i’ll give her a bouquet of roses. i’ll turn her heartbreak valley into acres of hope. she will respond like she did as a young girl, those days out of Egypt, and she will address me as Dear Husband…” (Hosea 2 MSG).
