I first heard about The World Race through one of my old youth group leaders in middle school. She did The World Race and also worked for Adventure In Missions later on. She absolutely loved what she did and learned so much from her experiences. Another one of my leaders that I went to Jamaica with went on The World Race too! I was able to talk to her about what she experienced and how much she loved it! From all that I heard from them about what they had done, I knew that The World Race was something that I wanted to experience for myself too!
Also, one of my friends is participating in The World Race this year and is absolutely loving it! I have seen so many pictures of her adventures and it looks like something that I would love to do!! It seems like such an amazing experience to be able to help others all the way around the world, spread the love of God to them, and grow in my own relationship with God.
I love to travel around and see the different cultures of the world and I also love missions work! I have been on three mission trips abroad and plan to go on my fourth this summer. I love the work that we do on those trips, from doing manual labor and moving buckets full of rocks, to playing with the local kids and putting smiles on their faces! I feel that through this program I will be doing things I love and grow much closer to God as I do them!
There are so many things that make me want to do the World Race this year and I am so so excited for what is to come!!
