With only two weeks left of my World Race journey, I thought I’d send a little update of what’s next for me in coming back to the U.S. One of the things that God has shown me time and time again on the Race is that I ultimately feel called to missions back home. When I’d have months where our hosts were locals, I loved seeing their heart and passion for their neighbors and their communities. They were bringing Kingdom right where they were at. I loved this.

I have also loved traveling the world. One of my favorite things I’ve learned on the Race is just how unified the body of Christ can be. Jesus is for every tribe, tongue, and nation. And I got to experience that this year. I absolutely loved getting to worship God in different languages and in different ways.

Although I’ve loved serving God abroad and am insanely grateful for this opportunity, God has put a passion on my heart to serve Him where I live back in the States. So after praying for direction on what this looks like, I’ve decided to move to Indiana when I come back. I will live with my sister and brother-in-law for a bit while I get my feet on the ground. And eventually I plan to move in with one of my teammates and friends, Megan, who is from Indiana. Our hearts in living together are to create a home where we can create a safe space for women to encourage one another. We want to host Bible studies and discipleship groups and just be a welcoming place to dive deeper into relationship with Christ. We desire to be on mission together.

And as for a job, I also plan to go back into nursing – potentially surgical nursing. I love serving and helping people and I feel like God has given me the skills for this. I’m excited to dive back into the medical field and see where it takes me.

And as of now, that’s pretty much it! I am super excited for all God has in store for this next season. I’m going into it with open hands and look forward to what God will do. If you have any questions about what’s next, I’d love to talk more about it! And thank you for all of your prayers thus far on the Race…we have certainly felt them in a tangible way.
