I have been BLOWN away by the generosity and encouragement I have received recently and, although words cannot express how truly grateful I am, I just wanted to take the time to thank you. Thank you to everyone who has prayed for and donated towards my trip so far…I have officially raised enough support to meet my May 18th deadline!! Praise the Lord!!!
Recently I have been spending some more time in prayer and boldly asking God for specific goals in fundraising. It has been incredible to see God answer these prayers and to see again how faithful God is. I feel that God has called me to go on the World Race and is so sweet to see how the Lord has provided for me thus far.
Although I know that God will continue to provide and I know that He is in control, I still sometimes doubt Him and His goodness. I still get fearful of not being able to raise the support. I still doubt that people care enough to give. But I also know that this is right where the enemy wants me. He wants me to doubt God and His abilities and, instead, rely on myself. But I must remember God’s character and what the Word says is true. God is all-powerful and He is victorious.
“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 1:6
“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” – Deuteronomy 31:8
I have two more deadlines to meet before my trip, so if you guys could continue praying for my team and I as we continue in the support-raising process that would be a huge blessing! Please pray that we would be diligent with our time, be bold in what God asks of us, and continue to trust that God is in control.
