Month 4:
So we are halfway through the race almost.
What have I learned hmmm….
- I’ve learned how to truly be happy for others. I’ve learned to celebrate my friends achievements and share in their joy when things go well. I get so excited when they get compliments or write a really cool blogs. It makes me smile when I see them genuinely happy and excited.
- My clothes permanently smell like dirt & it is never coming out no matter how many times I wash it.
- Missionary life is about making your own ministry. There’s not always a house to build or an English class to teach, but there is always a need. There is always someone or something God puts in front of you to show his love to!!!
- I’ve learned what true men of Christ look like. These past 12 days my team has been living with the boys team. They’ve taught me what it is like to truly be respected and what is like to serve and be served by others. They have created a new vision of what guys look like for me and showed me how true men act. Each one of the unique, but so wonderful. They are kind, caring and always watch out for us. Even if we are just walking to McDonald’s and they insist on walking by us to make sure we stay safe. It’s easy to get stuck in a wooo women power we don’t need men mindset, but these past few weeks wouldn’t have been nearly as great without them. They are amazing and don’t realize the impact they’ve had on us!! Thank you boys!!!!
- Always watch where you sit… Ants in your pants is a real thing.
