It’s taken me so long to write my first blog because number 1, I’m not a writer and number 2, I find this pretty intimidating because of number 1. Then there’s number 3, what in the world do I start with?! So I decided I would start with my testimony.
My family started attending church when I was 5 years old. Neither of my parents grew up in church. The Lord began revealing Himself to them, prompting them to find a church home. Church was fun. I met new friends but that was about it for me. One night, a couple of years later, I was in bed praying and listening. The Lord spoke to me. He told me that He wanted me to know Him and to put my trust and life in His hands. That’s when I realized this gospel thing was real.
Life before Christ was good. We were a healthy, happy family in a worldly sense. I don’t have any traumatic stories before or even after salvation. God has blessed me by shielding me from many trials. I’m grateful for that. I’m grateful He chose me. I’m grateful for His Son, Jesus and His life, death, and resurrection. I want to show Him my gratitude by living a life of obedience and being His hands and feet.
