Trooper.
This is something I have been told my whole life. I am a trooper, fighter, warrior, hard worker, and I’m determined. Theses are not attributes that I was born with but something I had been taught. For those of you that don’t have the pleasure of knowing my parents they are by far the strongest people I know. From a young age I have watched my parents walk in courage, faith, determination, and hard work.
My mom went to school for her bachelors when me and my brothers were 7, 6, and 5. At the same time my dad was over seas in the military.
My dad fought for America for many years. He put in so many hours and sacrificed time with his family to fight for a country he loves so dearly. I have an over whelming amount of gratitude for my country and the people who fight for it because of the values my dad has taught me.
When I was in the 6th grade my parents moved to Georgia no family, friends, jobs, or even a city in mind to live, but they felt the Lord asked them to move and so they did. They left everything that was familiar and comfortable to them in pursuit of the Lord.
My sophomores year my parents felt called to foster. It wasn’t easy but my parents loved them so well! The four girls we had left with a new mom, a earthly father and a knowledge of a Heavenly Father.
My junior year of high school my dad started his own company. This had been something he had talked about my whole life. He pursued his dream. And didn’t let the fear of failure stop him.
My senior year I didn’t know what God had in store for me but I felt lead to do missions for nine months. And my parents where right behind me supporting me. They believe in me and trusted the Lord.
I’m so very thankful for there love and support. And for teaching me how to be dependent on the Lord. Because of them I know what it looks like to find independence from depending on the Lord. And what it looks like to whole heartedly follow the Lord.
