Hey Everyone!
Here are 20 things about me!
-My name is Kayla; I am 21 years old and from the small town of Lavalette, WV which is right outside of Huntington.
-I have a great support system around me! My mother is possibly one of the most amazing women I know! She’s my rock and keeps me stable at my weakest moments. At first she definitely wasn’t for me going on this trip but she has came around to the idea and is so supportive of me. My father died in April 2007, I miss him more than anything in the world. I have one older sister (Rachael) and one older brother (Cody). So you now know that I am the baby of my family so you can see why my mother was hesitant.
-I used to work at Walt Disney World. I went down to Orlando, FL to participate in Disney’s College Program but once my program ended I wasn’t ready to leave. I ended up staying down there for 2 years and moved back here to WV about 7 months ago because I gave my heart to someone who under any circumstance did not deserve it. He couldn’t have been more awful towards me but at the time I was blind, but now I am so happy to be home in WV with family and friends!

-I LOVE to smile. It just comes naturally to me!
-I love animals which is why I work in an animal hospital! I love my job and the people I work with!

-I believe music is the best therapy! Taylor Swift and I have had numerous road trips together!
-I am dying to go either skydiving or bungee jumping but I am too chicken. Even though I think some of the things you are most scared of can be the most rewarding so maybe one day I will get enough courage to do it!
-I am a typical girl! I love the color purple, but pink is a close second!
-I am not excited about the whole not showering everyday thing, but I am sure I will get over it(I kind of have to haha).
-I think I am a superstar when I sing in the shower or am driving in my car but honestly I could use some practice!
-I love to travel!

-Most “about me” sections I have read are all about how people were raised in Christian families and grown up in the church but that’s not me. I’m not saying I was raised in a bad family or anything like that it’s just that church was never a priority growing up. I had a great childhood and wouldn’t change it for anything. I’ve made my mistakes and learned from them and now I believe it’s time for a change. My mother has apologized over and over about how she should have taken my siblings and I to church more often but honestly I have turned out quite well. Certain situations recently I have left me crying, depressed, and completely LOST, that’s when I heard about The World Race and at that moment I knew exactly what I needed to do. I am learning more and more about the Bible everyday and how God expects me to live. I think this trip is going to be a great way to learn and great way for God to completely change my life and I am 100% ready!
-I love watching movies and I am a total sucker for Disney ones! Peter Pan is my all time favorite!
-While living in Orlando I picked up some Spanish so I am trying to learn more to become fluent.
-I am a very passionate person in all aspects.
-Everyone I work with loves that fact that I am always dancing around and acting goofy so be prepared for that on the trip!
-I am stoked to go one The World Race!
-I am not very good at this blog thing so please be patient with me!
