3 minute testimonies:
As a part of our training for the Race we have been sharing stories of how God has moved in our lives in three minutes. This is one that I shared with some squadmates… One day with some friends we went for a hike. We wanted to make it a little more interesting so we decided to close our eyes and have one person lead us. We all held hands whlile he led us using his voice…”to the right a little, step up there is a big rock ahead…” We didn’t know where we were, because we weren’t on a trail, but we were having fun. We decided to take a break, and opened our eyes. Ahead of us was an impossibly steep hill, and behind us… an equally steep hill. We decided to continue with eyes open and independently. It very quickly became really difficult. One by one we reached the top and praised God for the magnificient view. It had all been worth it. Now I can’t help but think that often times God asks us to follow him with blind faith, because he knows if we see the path he has chosen it will seem impossible, but as he guides us with his voice we find that he can make what is impossible on our own is possible through him. This race at times seems impossible but because of this lesson he has taught me I know through him I will make it.
