So, what exactly is this World Race that I speak of? Where am I going? What will I be doing? These are all the questions I am asked often. Do I mind answering these questions? Absolutely not! In fact, I love answering them! It brings me great joy to share about the journey I will be going on and what God has been doing in my life the last few years… because boy has HE done A LOT!
What is the World Race?
The World Race is an 11 month long mission trip to 11 different countries. I will be traveling the world to spread the gospel, while showing the love of Christ through the ministries I will have the opportunity to partner with. In each country, my team (which if you have not met them, look back a couple blog entries and you will meet my amazing new family members) will partner up with local ministries to do various things. To really understand what the WR is all about, watch the video posted at the bottom of this blog entry. It can SHOW you and explain to you a lot more than my words could ever do on this page.
Where am I going?
Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Thailand, Cambodia, Challenge: Asia, Malaysia, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, & Malawi.
Challenge Asia is one that I will not know ahead of time. All I know is that it will be in Asia of course. I believe we are given choices and time to pray about it and see where the Lord leads us.
What will I be doing?
Some months we may work in orphanages, minister to women and children in prostitution, preach the Gospel, pray for people in hospitals, do physical labor, or a variety of other ministries. I do not know in advance any of the ministries I will actually be working with… this whole trip is like a big surprise from month to month. There is a lot of unknowns, but all I do know is that this is going to be a crazy, incredible journey, and I am so so so so blessed to have the opportunity to do this!
