Hello Everyone!

I wanted to introduce you to the five newest members of my family!  This is my team for the next 11 months…

Team Beautiful Feet

From left to right: Courtney, Me, Jake, Liz, Wade, and Jaime

These are the amazing people that I will share this journey with.  I had the opportunity to get to know them all a little while at training camp, and let me tell you… I am beyond blessed to call them my teammates.  I look forward to getting to know them even better as we share in this experience!

Our team’s name is Beautiful Feet.  One of our first tasks as a team was to come up with a team name.  We started brainstorming and came up with many possibilities on our first evening together as a team.  But, the next day while standing in a circle praying, Jake looked down at our feet and had a beautiful vision of our team… and the verse Isaiah 52:7 came to his mind.  And so, we became Beautiful Feet.

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!”   -Isaiah 52:7

Simply click on “about me” under their pictures to learn more about them.  And, please consider even subscribing to their blogs (which can also be done on the left side under their picture by just entering your email)… We will be together on the field, and this will be a great way to know what our team is doing.  I am sure that we will all probably be blogging about different things throughout the trip, so you will be able to learn more about our experience by following us all.

To my teammates: You are all so wonderful! I cannot even begin to describe how excited I am to share this journey with you.  I am praying for each one of you!  And, I can’t wait to be back together!  You are all such an encouragement to me, and I could not have asked for a better team to be part of.  Love you all!

One more thing… to explain the whole team vs. squad idea to any of you who may be confused (I know some people have been)… The picture in my last blog is my SQUAD. We are the B Squad (there are 51 of us total) and we will all be leaving together in October.  We will be traveling to all of the same countries together and are still one great big family… but, when we get to each country, we will break into our TEAMS (our squad is made of 8 teams with each having 6-7 people).  We will all be spread out doing different ministries throughout the month.  Hopefully this answers any questions about how the teams and squad work.

Thanks to all of you who are following my blog!  I really appreciate the support and encouragement you provide.  If you are not subscribed to my blog, you can do so on the left hand side.  Then, you will receive an email each time I update my blog… so much easier than remembering to check it or checking it all of the time. So, please consider subscribing. Also, please consider financially supporting me.  My support is coming along pretty well (I am completely blessed and thank each of you who have already supported me in this way!) but, I still have a long way to go.  If you would like to become part of this ministry by financially supporting me and making this trip possible, you can do so by clicking the “support me” link on the left hand side or contact me by clicking on the “contact” link also listed on the left side, and I will give you information on sending a check. Thank you everyone and God Bless!
