It has been an incredible ten days. I have been pushed beyond what I would have thought was possible. And strangely enough, I feel two opposite emotions at the same time. I feel totally overwhelmed that this will be my life for the next year. At the same time I feel totally calm, prepared and ready for everything God has for us.

I know The Lord will carry us through all the hard times we are walking into. And I look forward to the joyful times along the way. He is sending me out with a team of young women that I love dearly. When you’re praying for us, you can pray for the girls on my team by name – Ashley, Julia, Kacie, Lyndi Jo, Sam, and Sarah. I can’t wait for you to get to know them as I share our stories through future blog posts.  I’m humbled beyond words that we get to walk this road together. Please keep us in constant prayer as we say our goodbyes to our friends and family this month. And pray for the months to come that God will move in mighty ways as we travel to India, Nepal, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, South Africa, Botswana, Swaziland, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and Jamaica.

I have this strange, almost psychotic hope that it will be so much harder and so much richer than the past ten days. I am hungry for more.
