I have had a series of dreams this week where I was back
home.

The first dream I was at Cornerstone, my church back home. I
was standing in front of the congregation at the pulpit. I had my message
prepared and sitting before me. I was ready to speak. Prior to the race I would
have been terrified to stand before this many people and say anything at all,
but I was not nervous. I was excited to share a message the Lord had placed on
my heart. I stood there and right as I began to speak I looked to my left,
expecting to see Betty. Betty is one of my teammates who speaks Spanish.
Therefore she has come to be our translator over these last three months
anytime we need to communicate. So I look and she isn’t there. A slight panic
stirs in my chest. Thoughts start to flood into my mind, “I have no translator.
I can’t speak as slow. I won’t have time to think as I’m speaking. I’m alone up
here with all eyes on me. They hear my word for word. What if I say something
wrong? I need my translator!!” The Lord stops me in my faithless thoughts and
says, “Daughter, I think you’ve forgotten. You are not on stage alone. My
Spirit is your translator. When you speak, they hear your words in their flesh
but I translate it to an intimate message into each of their spirits. Speak as
slowly as you need, know that I am with you. You are never alone.”

The second dream I was at my parents house, except it was
much larger and our pool was in the center of our house and underground.  There were many people there whom I’ve
met over the course of the last 5 years of my life. People I’ve met through
school, work, and partying. I was hosting a party and people were all swimming,
dancing, and enjoying good company. I was able to walk around to different
people and make amends, apologizing with those whom I had wronged. Also, I was
able to forgive those who I had held grudges against for things they had done
to me. I was given a chance to bring everything to light that has been in
darkness for so long.

The third dream I was at the mall. I’m pretty sure it was
Finish Line. I was able to pick out not just one but two new pairs of
tennis-shoes for the race. I got me a new pair light weight Nike’s and then a pair
of hiking shoes. Then I went home and got to re-pack for the race and decided
to bring my old sanuks and not nearly as many shirts, but of the shirts I did
pack there were twice as many dry-fits. I packed more bug spray. I didn’t bring
my collapsible bowl. I packed my favorite hoodie. I brought an ebook reader
instead of normal books. And I brought a close line to dry my clothes on. I
packed up my stuff and stepped on the scale and magically my pack only weighed
25 lbs! I was satisfied and ready to begin my world race.
