So we have been in Siaya for 2 ½ days and we have done/learned a few things…
- When everyone runs out of water the atmosphere becomes cranky.
- Kenyans LOVE coca-cola (It is EVERYWHERE).
- When you have a chicken for a pet/alarm clock one day, that doesn’t mean it will still be there the next day. Actually, he will actually show up in a different form… such as lunch.
- When the locals ask you to take a picture of their pig they just want you to remember what it looked like before they kill it (right in front of you).
- We have made five kids cry just by looking at them.
- Bota bota’s are AWESOME!
- The people here are so nice. Everyone shakes your hand and asks you how you are.
- Our host home is TOO nice to us. We are sleeping inside, feed SO MUCH food, our close gets washed, and they don’t let us do any cleaning.
- The church we are working with are prayer WARRIORS. so good.
