So, today has been very busy. We went to see Barak Obama's grandmother. That is right. His grandmother. She lives about 20 minutes away from Siaya and since we are from the States our contact thought we should visit her. We road in the bed of a tiny truck; all 9 of us. We got to talk to her and ask her questions about what she does. Her compound is for taking care of widows and orphans. Before we left we got to pray over her. This is an honor because she is Muslim so continue to keep her in your prayers.
Another thing to know about Siaya is that it rains at the same time every day and and by the time we got on the road to come back it was about that time. We pulled onto the road that our house is on and literally walked in the door and it started to pour "monkeys and dogs." It wasn't only raining but it was hailing also. So, what did we do? Well, we did what any world racer would do… we grabbed our shampoo and razors and took a shower/shavwed. haha. It was the first time we had a consistant flowof water to take a shower. So we took a break from the bucket showers.
