Timing is EVERYTHING.
God’s timing is PERFECT.
we’ve all heard those phrases all our lives.
the latter has been on my mind a lot lately. i think about my decision to stay behind and launch later after my sister’s accident and i know i made the right decision. (although my baby sister wasn’t exactly thrilled, she didn’t want me to change my plans just because of her) i think about my squad, who is now in ecuador and smile. seeing their pictures, reading their stories makes me miss them like crazy.
but i cannot wait for those to be my pictures and my stories.
my race is coming. albeit, a lot slower than i ever imagined. God called me and promised me that i would go on the World Race.
in 2011, i applied and God closed the door.
in 2013, i applied and went all the way to training camp when God said “be present here”
in 2014, i anxiously awaited all the routes to come out so i could make my choice- january or july 2015 and i made my choice.
a lot of people would have given up already. moved on to something else. but, i believed in the promises He made in 2011. has fear crept in and doubt come in the years since the promise was made, yes. but no fear was too great to distract me from the promise.
all things are made beautiful in His time. His timing is never early or late. His plan always prospers even when it seems like it’s not going to work.
this journey is long. my world race journey is nothing like i imagined. i’ve cried and prayed and wondered. but what a beautiful story this is becoming. i cannot wait to see the beauty of this 11 month trip i have waited so long for.
MY WORLD RACE ROUTE:
South Africa. Swaziland. Mozambique. India. Nepal. Vietnam. Cambodia. Thailand. Guatemala. Honduras. Nicaragua.
please pray for me as i begin the fundraising process again and prep for the world race. also, thank you for the love and prayers sent for my sister- she is one tough cookie and is doing well but still has a long road ahead of her.
Much Love & Thanks,
Kay
