What do Henna and Tap dancing have in common?
A fundraiser! I know it is obscure, but let me share.
A very brief history of tap: the art form was created when Africans were enslaved, and their drums were taken away from them in attempts to assimilate the, they began creating their drum beats using their feet.
Henna: Has been practiced for over 5000 years in Pakistan, India, Africa and the Middle East.
These are forms have history in the countries I will be going to on the world race, so, we are bringing both of them together for a fundraiser DURING:

WHEN: August 16 (Friday)-4 pm – 6pm
August 17 (Saturday) – 9:30 am – 10pm
August 18 (Sunday) – 9:30 am – 5pm
?PRICES:
HENNA will cost between $5-$15 dollars dependent on size and detail. If you have a specific design you would like please bring a sample image with you.
THREADS OF HOPE (http://threadsofhope.com.ph/) bracelets are 1 for $2 or 3 for $5 (Half of the money goes to the families in the Philippines who make the bracelets, and half goes towards me going on the World Race.)

SPECIAL Tap Dance Performances will occur on Saturday and Sunday by David Alexander. He will arrive around 2pm and perform off and on throughout the evening.
