Three years in the making, and I am back at the Hostel in Beijing that Brittany, Hailey, Jess and I stayed at in 2010. I feel at home here. I am reminded of sitting in my grandma’s front yard as the sun rises and the dew reflects off every sunflower and magnolia in sight.

Yet, rather than sunflowers and magnolia’s I have a still coy pond with lilies, and a cute Chinese baby enjoying his morning bao-zi.

There is no place I would rather be; no place I would rather be, than here in your love.

The street dogs are awakening the city and the jet lag has nearly all of our squad up and about at 7am. I love this city and I can’t help but feel God’s joy in having us here. We are part of the awakening that has already begun! LORD, give us an Acts 2 kind of boldness, and wisdom in the face of adversary and joy in all encounters.
Thus I am back in the place it all began.
Is there a place God awakened your soul?
Prayer: Daily that God would open my eyes for his heart for this world.
