December first. Four Days. It can almost seem daunting. I love the Christmas season! The smell of fresh cookies at grandma’s, apple cider, or roasted chestnuts on main! All the lights that appear to bring the stars of the sky to the streets. The music that joyfully fills the local coffee shops and the bells upon the horse drawn carriages. Then the snow falls covering the ground in a blissful blanket of white. The story of our savior is shared with every stranger and passerby. It is a reason for joy.

This year my squad will be in a place very different. Maybe, if we are lucky we will have some cookies or maybe some apple juice. There is a chance at a light or two from a local temple. There will be music that fills the streets, but the purpose will be to glorify a different king.

Our next country is the Islamic nation of Malaysia. But a few of us have a wall to conquer before we go. On December first we have a deadline of $11,000. Below are the people still working to meet that deadline:

Adam Parker: Adam is an incredible brother of Christ. He always comes with an open ear, and joyfully accepts everyone for who they are. He is a southern boy; skilled in the art of clogging. His testimony is one of great power to all of the nations, and I can’t wait to see how God continues to work through him this year. Adam is $782 away from his next deadline. You can join as part of his support team here: Support Adam!

Anna Javaux: Anna is a sweetheart. She is soft-spoken, but very wise. Her smile is ever present and filled with the joy of Christ. Her ears are always open to listen to your stories, and help you see the work of God through them. This girl is a crucial aspect of our community. She is a joy filled bottle of glue continuously reminding us to be bound to the image of Christ. Anna has a gift for working with children and I can’t wait to work more closely with her in ministry this year. Anna is $435 away from her December first deadline. You can join as part of Anna’s support team here: Support Anna!

Ryan Johnson: Ryan Johnson is another amazing brother in Christ. He bring so much laughter to our squad. His testimony is also one of great healing, and sharing how God is continually working in his life. He has a gift for worship ministry and writing. Ryan has an incredible way of making everyone in the room feel welcomed. He seeks out the shy ones, and offers a listening ear. I cannot wait for opportunities to be in ministry alongside of this brother throughout the year, and continue to watch as God works through him. Ryan is $2,113 away from his December first deadline. You can join his support team here: Support Ryan!

These are just a few of my incredible squad mates! I pray that you would partner alongside the ministry God is doing through us this year, and that we would be  part of Christmas this year in a nation that has yet to awaken to the truth of the Gospel…and grandma’s cookies!
