So when going to 11 different countries one must get a lot of vaccines. No biggie, right?.. Wrong! I went to the Health Department two weeks ago to get my typhoid and yellow fever vaccines. I’m not gonna lie, I was a little nervous, I have never been a fan of people sticking needles into my body parts. On top of being a little nervous I forgot to eat breakfast and well lets just say that wasn’t the best combination. After I got my vaccines I went to the counter to get my receipt and my little yellow fever certificate slip and next thing you know two nurses where holding me and waving a bottle with a really strong scent coming from it in front of my nose. Yup.. I passed out.. It was the strangest thing; that had never happened to me before. Thankfully, the nurses were really awesome and very kind. They took really good care of me and they even gave me a free Fanta 🙂
But my story doesn’t end there. A couple of days ago I realized I was starting to become very itchy. At first I didn’t think to much of it but then I starting getting these big red bumps everywhere and it seemed like I couldn’t itch them fast enough. So I brought this to the attention of my mom, who then called the Health Department, and the next thing you know I was in the hospital getting yet another shot to calm down my allergic reaction I was having due to the vaccines. Needless to say, I really don't want to go get the rest of my vaccines 🙁 But I am going to because I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Phil 4:13).
