Que Pasa means "what's up" in espanol… This is my favorite saying π
So I thought I would share with you what my team and I have been up to this past week. I have been so very blessed and loving every second of it!! My team and I left last Monday for a small town (which I cannot pronounce, nor spell) about two hours away from Quito. When we arrived to our ministry location we were blessed with beds, a house, and a shower that has warm water, sometimes! Our ministry contacts had made us a wonderful lunch and we enjoyed sitting down and getting to know them through our translator and awesome friend Gabby.
Here is a schedule of what a normal day looked like…
7:15-7:30- Time to wake up due to a loud announcement coming from the street, such as people selling fruits and veggies with an amplifier/microphone attached to their vehicle. Then I talk myself into taking a shower because the walk from my bed to the bathroom is freezing cold and even though the water may be warm, the bathroom is FRIOS (Cold!!) ( I was only successful twice) .
7:30-8:00 – Team exercise!!! Each person on the team has their own day and on that day they get to decide what type of exercise we will do for that day.. We walked, jogged, ran sprints, did yoga, and lots of crunches and push ups.
8:00-8:30- Personal devotion time and or meet with our contacts for a group devotional followed by a time of worship (dancing)
8:30-10:00- Breakfast and washing dishes or playing soccer
10:00 – 1:00 – Go into town and get groceries, do laundry, walk around and pray for the people of the area, hang out with our ministry contacts, try to teach English to English students..
1:00- 2:30 – Lunch and Dishes π
2:30 – 5:30 – Vacation Bible School with some of the sweetest kids in the whole entire world!!!
5:30-7:00 – Prepare for dinner and hang out with our ministry contacts
7:00- 9:00 – Dinner and discussing the day; then washing the dishes
9:00- 10:00 – Dance Party!!! Serisouly… Dance party.. even to Justin Bieber once or twice π
10:00-11:00 – Team Debrief ( This is where my team and I sit and discuss our day.. We give each other positive and constructive feedback.)
11:00 – BEDTIME!!!
Here are some pictures of me rescuing Gabriel, a four year old, from the bathroom. (This was the second time he locked himself in there) But he is sooooo stinkin cute π

Soon I will write a blog about the Vacation Bible School from last week π
Starting tomorrow, my team and I will be doing a new Vacation Bible School here in Quito in the morning and in the afternoon we will be teaching english. Please continue to pray for opportunities to share God's love here in Ecuador. Your prayers are so appreciated! Much love!!!
