The deaf home is about 30 minutes away from where we are staying and it is a school that houses around 25 boys and girls that are deaf. The purpose of this school is to provide the kids with a way to communicate with others as well as teach them the things that they need to learn to take care of themselves. This is a Christian ministry and the kids have church twice a week. This ministry has been absolutely amazing to be a part of! Here are some pictures…

The Hospital is about 1 ½ hours away from our home and it is full of precious children. Our ministry at the hospital is pretty much just to love on the kids ( a lot of their parents have to work and therefore can not be there with them). We play with them, talk to them (as best we can), pray for them, laugh and cry with them. I’ve met kids this month with tumors, broken arms and legs, no arms and legs, severe burns, and some with mental disabilities. And These kids are still full of joy and hope!

Another of my ministries this month is Jireh ( God Provides). This ministry was started by a man from Canada and is for kids who live on the street, or have to work for a living. It is held at a church here in Bolivia. Kids usually come around 12pm and Ashley and I cook lunch for them. They come to get food and play games ( it’s a time for them to be what they are – Kids). Many of them bring their young siblings to get fed as well. The coolest part about this ministry is that even though they are coming for food and fun; they are getting Jesus too! And they keep coming back. Please keep this ministry in your prayers as they are struggling financially right now. They are applying for different types of grants so please pray for them to have favor!!

On Saturday sometimes doctors will volunteer at Jireh to come check out the kids…

And the last ministry that I've had the opportunity to be a part of this month is Kid Washing. Kid washing takes place in one of the plaza's in Cochabama. Every Saturday kids, who don't have the means to wash themselves, fill up the plaza and we have the opportunity to partner with a local mission and bathe the kids. We wash and braid their hair, sometimes paint the girls nails, and just love of them. Last week we passed out bread. It isn't really fair for me to say that this was my favorite ministry this month (simply because I LOVED them all). However, I really really enjoyed this one!!

God is doing big things here in Bolivia!! I have continually been amazed at all that He is doing here! Please keep the people of Bolivia in your heart and in your prayers! They need it!! Love you all 🙂 Thank you for all of your love and support!! It means so much to me!
