So I thought I would share with you what it looks like for us to live in Pucullpa, Peru..
7:00 AM- Time to wake up!!
7:15 AM- Devotional time (this is our individual time to spend with God however we like)
8:00 AM- Breakfast (This month we have cereal for breakfast everyday and it is amazing!!)
9:00 AM- Spanish lessons at the church
10:00 AM- Sanding benches for three hours!!
1:00 PM- Lunch time
2:00-4:00 PM- Work out and or siesta fiesta ( Nap Party!!)
4:00 PM- Evangelizing with some of the locals in the town square
6:00 PM- Some days we have church in the evenings and some days we don’t.
8:00PM or 9:00 PM – Dinner time 🙂 (Very late.. I know!)
10:00 PM- Team time.. This is when we sit around as a team and give positive/ constructive feedback.. We also are going through the book of Matthew together.
11:00 PM- Time to go to bed!!!
Because we are in Peru and because we are in the jungle our schedule is very likely to be changed at any given moment. We have found that when something starts at 4 PM it really starts at 4:45 PM. However, the one exception to this rule is church; church always starts on time. On Sundays we go to church from 8 to 12 and then we go back at night from 6:30 to 8.. Last night, after church, the Pastor’s wife came up to us and was saying “comida comida” and she walked us to a van, that had air conditioning, so we got in. A family of the church took us out for Chinese. It was really nice!! Just one example of random things thrown into our schedule.
I Love Peru and I am very much enjoying our ministry here this month! I took some pictures so you can see what it looks like around here…
